Final EDGE Green Buildings Advanced Certificate awarded to KADMAR | كادمار Depot Egypt Logistics Park - KADMAR Warehouse building marks the first internationally recognized operational warehouse in North Africa, Egypt, achieving the Final EDGE certification for advanced green building and applying for EDGE Zero Carbon Certificate.
EDGE Green Buildings certification is a globally accredited green building certification, an innovation by the IFC (International Finance Corporation), a member of the World Bank Group.
The certificate was awarded at a high-level ceremony during the TransMEA Conference held in Cairo, Egypt, issued by the Sintali Team and proudly developed by the Egypt Go Green Network, audited by Bahaa Zein Ebeidy and expert Dr. Elshimaa Eid.
The warehouse was designed and built using sustainable construction materials based on global international sustainable standards, making it environmentally friendly and energy-efficient by implementing advanced innovative green features. This not only brings value to all stakeholders but also minimizes carbon impacts, aiming to meet the ZERO Carbon criteria by applying for the EDGE Zero Carbon Certificate.

Egypt's historic Grand Egyptian Museum proudly achieved EDGE certification in 2024, becoming the first museum in Africa and the Middle East to receive the EDGE Advanced certification. This recognition underscores Egypt’s commitment to sustainability and green building certification, while honoring the legacy of respect for natural resources that is deeply rooted in the country’s rich history. The Grand Egyptian Museum Campus is truly one-of-a-kind, covering a site area of 500,000 m², with the museum itself encompassing a total built-up area of 76,658 m², showcasing sustainable construction materials throughout.
Sustainable transport infrastructure is essential for modern cities. Efforts to reduce single-use plastic are complemented by the use of sustainable construction materials.
